KARA MATTHEWS

MACZINE ARENAS

Coach Maczine has assisted for 14 Randell, co-coached 13 Mac/Fina, and assisted 15 Vivian — in addition to coaching many camps, clinics, and fall ball throughout the last couple of years.

Before becoming a coach, Coach Mac gained a lot of volleyball experience during her 11 years of playing - this includes being a UC ELITE Alumni and a James Logan Alumni. During her time playing high school volleyball at Logan, she was a NCS Division 1 Champion, 4x Undefeated MVAL League Champion, Varsity Team Captain, and was awarded the Coach’s Award twice.

Throughout the years, these many experiences have given her the opportunity to be exposed to learn different coaching styles from both a player and coaching perspective. These experiences have allowed her to become the coach she is today.

In addition, her coaching values include building/maintaining club culture and developing a positive mindset for each athlete. This season she looks forward to the opportunity to work with 15 Lynda and to continuously grow her coaching abilities.

Going into the 2022-2023 club season, Coach Maczine will be returning for her third season with UC ELITE as head coach of Boys - 18 Mac and assistant coach of 15 Lynda.

2023-2024 Maczine assisted 14 Mafa (Power).

TATIANA SAGAPOLU

Coach Tati played for local high school, Newark Memorial, during her high school career and joined the UC ELITE Staff back in 2021 as an Assistant Coach for 12 Conan.

Before joining the coaching staff, she played on UC ELITE 18 Daron during the 2020-2021 club season.

Going into the 2022-2023 club season, Coach Tati will return for her second season with UC ELITE by assisting 13 Conan.

VIVIAN NOKA

Vivian will be returning for her 2nd season with UC Elite volleyball club. Prior to coaching, Vivian was a volleyball player and has accumulated a lot of playing experience over the past decade. one of her last accomplishments in her volleyball club career was qualifying for the 2015 junior national championships in New Orleans, LA.

After her high school volleyball career, she went on and played at Foothill College where her team was ranked 4th in the state for the CCCAA conference. Throughout her volleyball career she was able to gain knowledge and insight through her experiences of playing high level volleyball. After finishing up her college career, she then went on to start her coaching career at Encore Volleyball Club, which  eventually led to a coaching opportunity at Sequoia High School.

After coaching for a year, Vivian decided to come and coach at UC Elite because it was closer to home and she was more familiar with the staff. Vivian looks forward to providing her players a stable foundation and proper tools to ensure that they excel in the game.

In 2022, Coach Vivian joined the JLHS Girl’s Volleyball Staff as an assistant coach to Matt Guzman.

Going into the 2022-2023 club season, Coach Vivian returns for her fourth season with UC ELITE as head coach of 16 Vivian and assistant coach of 17 Jonah.
